Perfect Pairings--Isaiah 40:30-31

If you've been reading for the past month you know we've had 4 Robin's eggs in the perfect little nest that is perched on top of the electric meter on the side of the house. The eggs hatched, the babies grew and recently the flew the nest. Even mommy Robin moved on.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. --Isaiah 40:30-31

Perfect Pairings--The Rainbow

Wow--it's been a week since I've posted. I'm so, so sorry. It was the last week of school and recital week at dance, but we're on cruise control now on the lazy days of summer. So I hope I can promise you that more timely posts are on their way. For today, I'm doing Baloney's Perfect Pairing. Hop on over and see her and the other pairings.

I'm sure everyone in the Tulsa area saw the beautiful double rainbow last week. Our last t-ball game got rained out in the bottom of the first inning and there it was on our drive back home. I don't know how anyone can look at a rainbow and not remember God's covenant. What a promise! So I find this pic and verse a Perfect Pairing.

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. --Genesis 9:13.

This is a pic from a run I did on Saturday. Photo is courtesy of Fleet Feet Tulsa. I kind look like I'm ticked off. I wasn't ticked off (other than I didn't feel like running on Saturday), I was just focused on the finish line which was right in front of me when this was taken.

I'm posting this sweet pic of my little Josie that shows her kind, serene, gentle side. Which I've seen once in the last 6 weeks. She's going through a phase. She's testing me and my patience. So here's the verse that I chose to match my little sweetie's face.

Perfect Pairings--Things Unseen

This photo was taken outside of Thayer, KS a couple weeks ago when I was meeting my mother-in-law to do the switch-a-roo with Katie (Katie spent several days with my in laws in KC during Christmas break). The fog gradually got thicker and thicker, at it's worst visibility was only about 30-40 yards. I didn't like it one bit. But I thought the below Bible verse was a perfect pairing and a good reminder of how as we are barrelling down life's highway into the unknown, God has us in his arms and we must be faithful and trust in Him even though He is unseen. So we fix our eyes on not what is seen, but on what is unseen, because what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. --2 Corinthians 4:18.

Perfect Pairings--1 Timothy, 4: 7-8

I know Perfect Pairings are done on Sundays, but I'm all wonky this week, so you're getting mine on a Tuesday. It never hurts to read scripture on another day other than Sunday.
Train yourself in godliness, for, while physical training is of some value, godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. -- 1 Timothy 4: 7-8

This is a photo of me and kiddos before I left to go do the Komen run this past weekend. I feel it's important to keep yourself physically fit, but it's more important to be spiritually fit. (Doesn't Katie looked super thrilled to be having her picture taken. I'm lookin' pretty smokin' hot, too, huh? NOT!).

Perfect Pairings--Matthew 18:20

Haven't done a Perfect Pairing in awhile. I realize that everyone has used this verse, but I love it and it's completely appropriate for this photo. This photo was taken last weekend when my sister and I drove up to Kansas to go to my uncle's memorial service (I'll blog about my uncle another time so you can get a glimpse of his amazing life). God was most definitely there with us on this day.

Amy and I drove up and back to Hutchinson, Ks together in one day to go to the memorial service, to spare our children A LOT of driving, we left them at home with our husbands, that's why they aren't in the pic.

Again, like normal, I'm a little late getting this posted today. This is Katie waving her palms that she got at church this morning. We walked to church today and as we walked home, she waved them the whole way. You can see more Perfect Pairings over at Baloney's Blog.

Most of you have heard about the recent hair cutting incident at our home. If not, please stand by, I'm work on a post about it.
